PRIVACY POLICY
Who we are
Save Glen Lednock (SGL) is a campaigning group based in the United Kingdom. It is run by a steering group of individuals resident in Comrie, Crieff and the surrounding area who came together to oppose the projected Glen Lednock Wind Farm (and subsequently began campaigning against the projected adjacent Glentarken Wind Farm). SGL is a community-based organisation with no formal membership, but it keeps a list of individuals who have expressed support for its aims, either through submitting formal objections to the wind farm proposals to the Scottish Government's Energy Consents Unit and/or by signing up at public meetings and other events for updates about our work. SGL has no formal constitution; it seeks to operate as an open and participatory campaign.

We will only use your data in a manner that is appropriate considering the basis on which that data was collected, as set out in the table above.
Rights you have over your data
You have a range of rights over your data, which include the following:
- You have the right of access to your information.
- You have the right to ask for rectification and/or deletion of your information.

When we share your data
We will not sell, distribute or lease your data to third parties unless:
- you have provided your explicit consent for us to pass data to a named third party;
- we are using a third party purely for the purposes of processing data on our behalf and we have in place a data processing agreement with that third party which fulfils our legal obligations in relation to the use of third party data processors;

In addition, we will only pass data to third parties where appropriate safeguards are in place as defined by Article 46 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
How and where we store your data
We are committed to ensuring that the privacy of your personal data is secure and protected. If we ask you to provide particular information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure all the information we collect.
In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to personal data, we will promptly assess the risk to members’ rights and freedoms and if appropriate report this breach to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
How long we keep your data
We take the principles of data minimisation and removal seriously and we only ever ask for the minimum amount of data for the associated purpose and delete that data promptly once it is no longer required.
If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
