More bad news for Low Carbon and SSE
Following the Court of Session’s landmark legal ruling earlier this year (see our 17 February news story), throwing out the Wull Muir wind farm application in the Borders for failing to consider the environmental implications of its grid connection, Scottish Borders Council is seeking judicial review of another wind farm given the go-ahead by the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit. The BBC report is here.
This is more bad news for the developers of Glen Lednock and Glentarken wind farms, neither of whose planning applications and environmental impact assessments assessed the impact of the grid connections required to export the electricity generated.
