Save Glen Lednock’s plea to election candidates to commit to opposing intrusive wind farms is covered extensively in today’s Courier (see story here), which also reports on the launch of the Scottish Conservatives’ rural manifesto, whose pledges include the promise to “stop the mass industrialisation of our countryside”. The party said it would pause all major renewable energy infrastructure applications while it put in place a new system that gives local residents a “meaningful say” in the process, including the power to reject such applications.
